The Nomads - Virus 1999

I've always been shocked that The Nomads aren't one of the biggest bands in the world. They surely have the songs & the performing chops, to stand along side any platinum selling arena rockers going in the last 30 years. They even had a ton of support from the music establishment, with folks like Peter Case, Jeffery Lee Peirce & Scott McCaughey all penning tunes for them. They also had guests like Johnny Thunders, Joey Ramone & Handsome Dick Manitoba appear on their records. Yet they remain mostly a band know to only the most die hard rock fans, outside of their home of Sweden. In a perfect world, the two songs in this clip would be million selling hits, but instead we live in a world rules by morons who would rather listen to music resembling an off balanced washing machine.
The first song "I've Seen Better" comes from their "Big Sound 2000" album, while the second song "(I'm) Out Of It" (co-written by McCaughey) is from quite possibly their best album "Powerstrip".

Little know fact: The Art Production on their 1996 EP "The Cold Hard Facts of Life" was done by (a then unknown) Neko Case!
